Ally is 63 years old and loves the game of Golf. Ally is the Current Chairman/Captain of the Scottish Blind Golf Societyfor 2012/2013. He is the serving Vice Chairman Finance of the IBGA and also serves on the Handicap committee.

Diagnosed with Optic Nerve damage and Macular Degeneration in 2000 he thought that he would never play golf competitively again, but after being introduced to Blind Golf in October of 2000 it rekindled his love of the game. Up until he lost his vision he worked for the previous 24 years in the Oil and Gas Industry as an engineer and later as a Project Manager in the North Sea, the South China Sea and many other countries around the World.

Ally is ably coached / guided by his wife Anne. They are still on the never-ending learning curveand hope to continue making friends around the world in 2012 and beyond.
