ISPS Handa 2014 World Blind Golf Championships

At the World Championships on 9th May - 18th May 2014 at Nelson Bay Golf Club, Nelson Bay, New South Wales, Zohar Sharon of Israel again took out the B1 Net World Champions trophy. With a great turnout of almost 50 players from 14 Members countries the beautiful sunny May weather made the championships a complete success for the Blind Golf Community.

ISPS Handa 2014 Irish Blind Golf Open

30 of the leading blind golfers from 11 countries took part in the revived Irish Blind Golf Open Championship held at Roganstown Golf and Country Club from July 2 to July 5. The championship was being staged by the Irish Blind Golf Society with sponsorship assistance from Vision Sports Ireland and Dr Haruhisha Handa.

The British Open was held following the Irish Open on 6th July - 10th July 2014 at Templepatrick Golf Club, Belfast, Northern Ireland with John Eakin taking home the British Open trophy.

ISPS Handa 2014 Canadian Blind Golf Open

26 competitors contested the 2014 Canadian Open on 5th August - 07th August 2014 at Mountain Golf Club in Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada. Brian MacLeod took out the major championship from Gerry Nelson by a net margin of just two shots. It was an enthralling battle from the two champions of the game.

The 5th Italian Open was held at Barlassina Golf and Country Club Milan on 1st and 2nd October 2014.

The net winner was Mirko Ghiggeri from Italy and runner up was Jeff Skemer from Canada. The Ladies Nett winner was Linda Port from USA.

2013 British Blind Open Championship

One experienced player described the greens at Forest Pines among the most testing he had ever played but that did not seem to bother Chris Evans or his guide Joy Davies as they shot a sparkling nett 70 to come from behind and pip Billy McAllister to win the British Open.

The 2013 US Blind Golf Championships were held at the Stone Creek Golf Course in Oregon City on August 17-22 in Portland, Oregon.

2012 British Blind Open Golf Championship

Supported by the IBGA, The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews and Scottish Borders Council the Cardrona Hotel Golf and Country Club hosted 2012 British Blind Open Golf Championship in spectacularly picturesque surreoundings. Englands Pieta Le Roux took out the Mens Net Competition and the Ladies Nett Winner was Chiara Pozzi of Italy.

2012 World Blind Golf Championships

Zohar Sharon of Israel took out the 2012 World Blind Golf Championships held at the Truro Golf Club hosted by the Novia Scotia Golf Association Canada. A total of seven different countries were represented in the top nine competitors showing the growth of the sport.

2011 British Blind Golf Open Championship

This years event took place at the Hilton Hotel and Golf Resort, Templepatrick, Northern Ireland and was hosted by the Northern Ireland Blind Golf Association. John Eakin won the 2011 British Blind Open in a tournament twhere members of England and Wales Blind Golf featured strongly among the prize winners.

England and Wales Blind Golf were proud hosts of the 2010 IBGA World Championships and the British Open at the Whittlebury Park Golf and Country Club Towcester, Northamptonshire.
