Dear Blind and Vision Impaired Golfers

It gives Blind Golf Australia great pleasure to invite all golfers with a IBGA Handicap to our event the 2024 ISPS Handa Blind Golf Australian Open.

The event is scheduled to be played over 36-hole Stroke event. A Stableford event will be available for those not wishing to play Stroke.

PARTICIPATION COST

The cost for this event is $280.00 for both days which includes a motorised cart, green fees, lunches on course, trophies, presentation event, accommodation and transport to and from Mantra on View to Emerald Lakes including from airport to Mantra on View and return.

1. COMPETITION PROCEDURES

The event organisers shall have the right to refuse the entry of any person without being required to give any reason for such refusal.

The draw for the competition will be sent to players approximately one week before the event.

Participation forms that are received after the specified closing date will not be accepted.

• Wednesday 31st July: Practice Day for ISPS Handa Blind Golf Australian Open

• Thursday 1st August: Day 1 ISPS Handa Blind Golf Australian Open

• Friday 2nd August: Day 2 ISPS Handa Blind Golf Australian Open, followed by presentations at Emerald Lakes Golf Club (Black Tie Dinner)

• Saturday 3rd August: Depart

The trophy presentation will be held Friday 2nd August at 7:00pm at Emerald Lakes Golf Club as a Black-Tie event.

Accommodation has been provided at the Mantra on View Surfers Paradise from Tuesday 30th July till Saturday 3rd August 2024.

BOOKING PROCESS

Please contact Niamh McCluskey at Mantra on View Surfers Paradise to book your accommodation, advising her that it is for the ISPS Handa Blind Golf Australian Open.

DRESS CODE OF STANDARD

Neat and presentable attire is required at all times. Shirts must have a golf collar. Covered footwear with socks.

Short socks are acceptable provided they are above the shoe line (men). Dress shorts with a belt and or trousers (men); smart shorts, skirts or slacks (ladies) Appropriate golf footwear - i.e. golf shoes.

TRANSPORT

Players and caddies staying at the Mantra on View Surfers Paradise will be picked up from the Airport at Coolangatta (Gold Coast) Airport at 2:30pm and taken directly to the accommodation. Return transport to the airport is also provided on Saturday 3rd August from Mantra on View. Transport is also provided to and from Emerald Lakes and Mantra on View. Bus schedule and timetable will be provided at a later date.

BLACK-OUT GLASSES

All B1 golfers must be sure to wear Approved Black-Out Glasses.

Please also ensure you are familiar with all the Blind Golf Australia's rules and R&A Rules of Golf.

CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOL

BGA has a strictly no alcohol policy during play.
