South African Open 2024 and Goldfields Open 2024

Goldfields West Golf Club in Carletonville, Gauteng Province SA

SABGA will be hosting the ISPS Handa South African Open from 7 - 8 October 2024. This 36-hole event will take place at the Goldfields West Golf Club in Carletonville, Gauteng province.

After a day's break a second 36-hole event, the Goldfields Open, will be held at the same course.

This is a well-established parklands style course. It is a top 100 course in SA and has twice been rated in the top 20.

The course features an abundance of wildlife, including springbok, blesbok and troops of monkeys.

The course par is 72 and rating 70 (for men and women).

These events will offer players five days of golf (including the practice round) at the Goldfields West Golf Club.

We would like to invite international and local players to apply for entry to the limited number of places available in these events.

• Men's B1 Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Men's B2 Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Men's B3 Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Ladies' Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Overall Net (Medal basis) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place

Goldfields Open:

• Men's B1 Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Men's B2 Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Men's B3 Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Ladies' Champion (gross) and Runner-up;

• Overall Net (Stableford basis) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place;

Programme Schedule:-

• Sat 5 October: Arrive at Johannesburg International Airport (O.R. Tambo, for those flying in)

• Transport from aiaport to Carletonville

• Sun 6 October: Practice Day at Goldfields West Golf Club

• Mon 7 October: ISPS Handa SA Open Round 1

• Tues 8 October: ISPS Handa SA Open Round 2

• Wed 9 October: Rest Day

• Thur 10 October: Goldfields Open Round 1

• Fri 11 October: Goldfields Open Round 2

• Sat 12 October: Depart

• Transport to O.R. Tambo Airport if required

Accommodation

The RenGwe guest house is located approximately 15 km from the golf club.

The guest hours offers: Pool, gym, wi-fi, laundry, etc.

Rooms have air conditioning, fridge, microwave oven, TV, etc.

Transportation

Transportation will be provided:

• From O.R. Tambo airport to the guest house and back to the airport on the departure day.

• Daily between the guest house and golf club.
