ISPS Handa 2018 US Blind Golf Open Results

Haven Golf Course - Green Valley Arizona

April 5 - 8 2018

The ISPS Handa 2018 US Open Blind Championship was held April 5 through April 9 in Green Valley Arizona at the Haven Golf Course. Thirty-four golfers and their coaches representing Canada, Ireland, Northern Ireland, Israel and the United States participated in the tournament.

Players were given the opportunity to play a practice round on Friday April 7, followed by a welcome dinner and players meeting that evening.

Players were given the option of playing stroke medal play or they could choose the Modified Stableford format. Prizes were given for both Stroke and Stableford competition.

Seventy local volunteers helped with the tournament. Every golf/coach team had a score marker assigned to them and the score markers stayed with their player for the two days of the tournament. Other volunteers assisted with providing water on the course, transportation, awards dinner and guide dog care.

Transportation, to and from the airport as well as to and from the golf course, was provided by volunteers for those players who requested it.

The tournament concluded with the awards dinner on Sunday evening April 8. One hundred fifty one players, coaches and volunteers attended the dinner.
