2019 Japan Open

Japan Blind Golf will host the 2019 Japan Blind Golf Open.

The Event

Japanese Blind Golf Association will host the 2019 Japan Blind Golf Open on September 18th and 19th at Hakonekohan Golf Course. The course is located in Hakone, a comfortable tourist destination near Mt. Fuji.

This will be a 36 hole Stroke play event played over two days. This is open to all players with an IBGA handicap and will follow the 2019 R&A revised rules of golf and related modifications.

Players with an exact handicap higher than the maximum allowed for each sight category can play in a 2 day Stableford competition.


In accordance with IBGA requirements.

Entry Fee

JPY20,000 or US$200.

This will include dinner, bed and breakfast for each player and aide/guide from dinner on Monday 16th September to breakfast on Friday 20 September. Players and participents will be responsible for any additional costs.

Initial Itinerary

Monday 16th

• Arrival: Accommodation at a hotel near Narita International Airport

Tuesday 17th

• Coach travel to Hakonekohan Golf Course

• 9 Hole practice round on the Golf Course

Wednesday 18th

• 1st round of Japan Open 2019

Thursday 19th

• 2nd round of Japan Open 2019

• Awarding ceremony and Gala Dinner

Friday 20th

• Departure
