IBGA EVENTS REPORT AND RESULTS
ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Golf Championships
Truro, Nova Scotia, Canada
There will be 2 events hosted by the NSBGA this year
ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Golf Championships
August 20th to 22th
1 practice round and 2 days - Stroke play competition - $300 entry fee.
Prizes will be awarded in the following categories provided there are adequate participants in each category.
In the event of ties, a winner will be determinedfollowing the IBGA's Countback Rules (will be provided at time of arrival).
• Low Net Overall - 1st and 2nd place
• Low Gross B1 Division - 1st and 2nd place
• Low Gross B2 Division - 1st and 2nd place
• Low Gross B3 Division - 1st and 2nd place
• Women's Low Net Overall -1st and 2nd place
Brian MacLeod Memorial Nova Scotia Open
August 24rd & 25th
2 days of Stableford competition with no practice round - $300 entry fee.
If attending this tournament only there can be a practice round on Wednesday August 23rd.
Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
ITINERARY OF THE WEEK'S EVENTS:
• August 19 - Players arrive
• August 20 - ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Championships - Practice Round
• August 21 - ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Championships
• August 22 - ISPS Handa Canadian Open Blind Championships - Banquet - Canadian Open awards
• August 23 - Off day - ISPS Handa Canadian Open only players depart
• August 24 - Brian MacLeod Memorial
• August 25 - Brian MacLeod Memorial - Presentations & dinner
• August 26 - Players depart
ACCOMMODATIONS:
Accommodations will be at the Inn on Prince, 437 Prince St., Truro and the NSBGA will cover hotel charges from Saturday night August 19th through to Saturday morning August 26st for players who participate in both events.
For players only coming for the ISPS Handa Canadian Open, hotels will be covered from Saturday August 19th through the 22nd. Each player will be provided with a room with 2 beds.
Any additional nights are to be made directly with the hotel indicating that you are with the NS Blind Golf Association event.
TRANSPORTATION:
If you require our help with transportation, please let us know as soon as possible your arrival and departure dates and times so arrangements can be made to pick you up and deliver you back to the airport.
